KY 123 in Hickman County to Close at MP 0.36 Starting Monday, Oct. 13 for Bridge Replacement

PADUCAH, Ky. (Oct. 10, 2025)  A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to close KY 123 at mile point 0.36 in Hickman County starting Monday, Oct. 13 to begin work on a bridge replacement project.

The bridge over Little Cypress Creek is located between KY 575 and KY 307, just west of the Nichols community, and is currently posted with an 18-ton weight limit.

The existing structure will be demolished and replaced with a new bridge. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by the end of November.

Motorists are asked to self-detour. Approximately 200 vehicles travel this section of KY 123 in an average day.
