KY 295 is Now Open to Traffic at the Livingston Creek Bridge on the Crittenden-Lyon County Line
$1.236 million bridge replacement project
PADUCAH, Ky. (Oct. 9, 2025) – KY 295 has reopened to traffic at mile point 9.419 on the Crittenden-Lyon County Line following the completion of a bridge replacement project.
As a safety precaution, the Livingston Creek Bridge was closed in March 2024 after an inspection found structural issues. The bridge is located between Millie Peek Road in Crittenden County and Joe Peek Road in Lyon County.
After securing funding, completing the design, acquiring the Right of Way (ROW), and finalizing the bid letting process, construction began in late April and was finished about three weeks ahead of schedule.
Jim Smith Contracting served as the primary contractor on this $1.236 million bridge replacement project, which has been listed on the KYTC District 1 weekly Roadshow Report.
The average daily traffic count on this section of KY 295 is approximately 693 vehicles per day.
