Whitehaven Welcome Center Tourist Office Closed for Maintenance Work
Rest stop facilities remain open
PADUCAH, Ky. (Sept. 16, 2025) – The Whitehaven Welcome Center Tourist Office is closed until further notice due to maintenance work.
During this time, tours will not be available. However, this will not impact access to the rest stop facilities.
Located off Interstate 24 at Paducah Exit 7, Whitehaven is the only historic house in the nation serving as a welcome center.
The antebellum home, originally built as a farmhouse in the 1860s, became an official state welcome center in 1983 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
