Update - Changes for intersections in
Madison County
Signal modifications
LEXINGTON, Ky. (August 5, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that this news release serves as an update. Changes will be made for two intersections in Madison County. The changes are necessary for signal adjustments. The signals will be modified to include left turn phasing.
Note: this news release pertains to Madison County (not Bourbon County)
Wednesday, August 6 – 9 a.m.
Walnut Meadow Road/KY 595
Locations:
- the intersection with the Interstate 75 Northbound Ramps (milepoint 4.765)
- the intersection with the Interstate 75 Southbound Ramps (milepoint 4.847)
Modifications:
- the signals will have 4 section signal heads added for left turns from Walnut Meadow Road/KY 595 onto the Interstate 75 entrance ramps
- left turns for Walnut Meadow Road/KY 595 will now have a green protected phase and a flashing yellow arrow permitted phase
All work and/or closures are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties
