Culvert pipe replacement
LEXINGTON, Ky. (August 5, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of work scheduled for Hume Bedford Road/KY 1939. A temporary road closure will be necessary for culvert pipe replacement operations.
Wednesday, August 6 – 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Hume Bedford Road/KY 1939
- a closure will be in effect at milepoint 12.3
- the location is .4 miles East of the Fayette County line
- the culvert pipe will be replaced beneath the roadway
- local traffic and emergency vehicles will need to utilize the alternate route
Alternate Route
- Elizabeth Station Road/KY 1876 to Georgetown Road/US 460 to Martin Luther King Boulevard/US 27 to Lexington Road/US 27
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
