Nightly lane closure flagging will be used, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. only
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (July 14, 2025) –Contractors will begin nighttime paving work beginning Wednesday, July 16, at 7 p.m. This work is being done along two miles of KY 207 (milepoint 15.59 to milepoint 17.65) and runs through Flatwoods in Greenup County. Work is scheduled for nighttime hours only, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Monday through Friday. Work will take place overnight to minimize traffic impacts. No lane closures will take place after 7 a.m. during daytime hours. Contractors will be utilizing one lane traffic controlled by flaggers.
- Phase 1: Sidewalk ramp reconstruction to meet ADA requirements so intermediate sidewalk closures will take place.
- Phase 2: Milling of existing asphalt and resurfacing.
This work is expected to take four weeks. The state highway improvement project is being done by Mountain Enterprises under a $813,887.50 Kentucky Transportation Cabinet contract.
