PADUCAH, Ky. (July 14, 2025) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is planning an extended closure of KY 124/Cerulean Road at its intersection with KY 139/Jefferson Street in Cadiz, starting on Monday, July 21.
Closure of this section of KY 124/Cerulean Road, between KY 139 and Line Street, will allow for the realignment and reconstruction of the KY 139/KY 124 intersection.
The work is expected to take about six weeks, weather permitting.
This phase of the project should not impact traffic on KY 139/Jefferson Street.
The project is part of the state's Six-Year Highway Plan and represents an investment of $872,000. Work includes roadway excavation, intersection realignment and reconstruction, storm water installation and both asphalt and concrete paving.
