Bridge Maintenance Project on KY 14 (Verona Mudlick Road) in Boone County Beginning Monday, July 7
24/7 temporary signals and lane closure on KY 14 until project completion
COVINGTON, Ky. (July 3, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a bridge maintenance project on the KY 14 (Verona Mudlick Road) overpass over Interstate 71 (2.1 – 2.3 mile point) (Verona Exit 72) in Boone County beginning on Monday, July 7.
The District 6 structures crew will be on site Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. performing routine maintenance operations.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane and temporary traffic signals will be in place at each end of the work zone. The lane closure and temporary signals will be in place 24/7 until the project is complete.
Motorists should watch for crews, lane closures and equipment in the work zone.
Weather permitting, this project is expected to be completed by Friday, July 25.
