Traffic Alert – Closures for routes in
Fayette County
Downed electrical lines
LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 2, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of downed electrical lines for routes in Fayette County. Closures for sections of the roadways are in effect until the utility company removes the lines.
Wednesday, July 2 – currently and until further notice
Locations:
- outbound Richmond Road/US 25 at South Eagle Creek Dirive
- inbound Richmond Road/US 25 at Shoreside Drive
- Yorkshire Boulevard at Blazer Parkway
- motorists on Squires Road are currently being diverted to outbound Richmond Road/US 25 only
All work and/or closures are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies, and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
District 7 includes Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties.
