Extended Closure Planned on KY 2595/Lakeview Church Road in Marshall County Starting June 30
Bridge replacement project expected to last until the end of August
PADUCAH, Ky. (June 23, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans an extended closure on KY 2595/Lakeview Church Road in Marshall County beginning Monday, June 30.
The closure at mile point 3.3, located west of the Kentucky Dam Marina, is necessary to allow for construction of a new bridge.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of August.
The existing bridge, one of the last full timber structures remaining in KYTC District 1, is currently posted with a 3-ton weight limit.
Approximately 434 vehicles travel this section of KY 2595 in an average day.
Motorists are asked to detour using state routes U.S. 641 and KY 1422, which will add approximately 11.6 miles to the trip.
