TRAFFIC ADVISORY: U.S. 127/I-64 Traffic Signal Activated in Franklin County
Motorists advised to use caution when traveling near the newly signalized interchange
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (June 17, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) announces the activation of a new traffic signal at the U.S. 127/I-64 West interchange today, June 17, in Franklin County.
To prepare motorists for the traffic pattern change, temporary electronic message boards were installed near the intersection ahead of today’s activation. Updated pavement markings reflecting the new signal are also in place. Drivers are advised to exercise caution when traveling near the newly signalized intersection and adhere to the new traffic pattern.
This traffic signal activation is a key milestone in the $4 million interchange improvement project to enhance travel efficiency and safety near the Paddocks of Frankfort and the surrounding areas. The project is nearing final completion and is expected to conclude this summer.
