Paving project is between KY 849 and the Graves County Line, and near the community of Freemont in McCracken County
PADUCAH, Ky. (June 6, 2025) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans a daytime, work zone lane restriction along KY 994/Old Mayfield Road in Graves County starting on Monday, June 9, weather permitting.
A crew will be milling and paving along KY 994/Old Mayfield Road from mile points 0 to 4.3. This is between KY 849, near the community of Boaz, and the Graves-McCracken County Line.
A section of paving work from the 2.1- to 6.8-mile points on KY 994/Old Mayfield Road in McCracken County, between the communities of Freemont and Hendron, will also be included in this project.
The work is expected to last about three weeks.
Motorists should be alert for signage and flaggers directing traffic to shift into the open lane in the work zone. Appropriate caution required.
Some sections will require full-width paving, so motorists should anticipate delays.
