Reminder - Operations scheduled for
Bypass Road/KY 1958 in Clark County
Full width milling and asphalt resurfacing
LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 2, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of work scheduled for Bypass Road/KY 1958 in Clark County. Resurfacing includes layering new asphalt over an existing asphalt or concrete surface.
The procedure assists with extending the lifespan and enhancing the performance of the roadway. In addition, resurfacing eliminates pooling water due to dips in the surface. Pooled water can damage lower layers of asphalt and concrete.
Monday, June 2 through Monday, June 30 – 7 p.m. evenings until 6 a.m. the following mornings (the hours of work could change based on traffic volumes)
Bypass Road/KY 1958 – Northbound
- work will be in effect between Boonesboro Road/KY 627 (milepoint 2.500) and Redwing Drive (CR) (milepoint 3.919)
- alternating lane closures with flaggers onsite will allow motorists through the work zone
- the traveling public will be driving on a milled surface until the milling operations are completed
- motorists are strongly encouraged to utilize the suggested alternate route
Alternate Route
- motorists can utilize Boone Avenue/KY 627
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
District 7 includes Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties.
