Operations scheduled for Bonds Pike/KY 1059 for Scott County
Resurfacing for route in Stamping Ground
LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 31, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of work scheduled for Bonds Pike/KY 1059 in Stamping Ground, Scott County. Resurfacing includes layering new asphalt over an existing asphalt or concrete surface.
The procedure assists with extending the lifespan and enhancing the performance of the roadway. In addition, resurfacing eliminates pooling water due to dips in the surface. Pooled water can damage lower layers of asphalt and concrete.
Monday, June 2 through Friday, June 6 - 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. each weekday
Bonds Pike/KY 1059
- a section of the route will be closed during the hours of work
- operations will be located between milepoints 0.0 and 4.1
- local residents will be able to access their houses
- emergency vehicles will be able to pass through the work zone
- motorists are strongly encouraged to take an alternate route
Alternate Route
- the traveling public can utilize Locust Fork Road (CR)
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
