Lane closure scheduled for Clays Ferry Bridge on Interstate 75
Fayette and Madison Counties
Routine bridge maintenance
LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 27, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a scheduled lane closure for Interstate 75 on the Clays Ferry Bridge. The temporary closure is necessary for routine bridge maintenance. The Clays Ferry Bridge (B00153) is located on the Fayette-Madison County line.
Wednesday, May 28 – 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Interstate 75 – Northbound
- the location will be on the Clays Ferry Bridge located at the Fayette-Madison County line
- the right/slow lane will be closed between milepoints 97 – 97.8 for routine bridge maintenance
- two lanes will remain open for motorists
Motorists should expect delays and seek an alternate route if possible.
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
