Traffic Advisory: Paving Begins Mid-Week on KY 1959 and KY 3298 in Carter County
Expect daytime one-lane flagged traffic
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (May 23, 2025) – Daytime paving will begin the middle of next week, around May 28, on KY 1959 (Grayson-Lindsey Chapel Road) in Carter County, requiring one-lane flagged traffic during daytime working hours.
Beginning mid-week and continuing for a couple of weeks, motorists should expect one-lane flagged traffic on KY 1959 between the KY 1947 and extending North to KY 7 (milepoints 0 to 1.35.)
Paving will follow on KY 3298 (Three Pine Road) from Squire Lick Road (CR 1283) and extending north to US 60 (milepoints 4 to 6.6).
Road work schedules may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling
The work is being done by Mountain Enterprises, Inc., under a $488,328.82 Kentucky Transportation Cabinet contract.
