ALERT: Crews Are Out Clearing Downed Trees and Debris from Roadways Across District 1
Motorists asked to use caution
PADUCAH, Ky. (May 16, 2025) – Following two rounds of severe storms that passed through the state earlier this evening, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 1 crews are out clearing fallen trees and debris from state highways in multiple counties.
Crews in Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Lyon and Marshall counties are reporting numerous downed trees.
Road impacts reported so far include:
- KY 274 in Lyon County, between Country Hills Drive and Marshall Road. – Reopened to traffic as of 10:00 p.m.
- KY 962 in Marshall County, near KY 402 in Hardin.
- I-69/former Purchase Parkway in Graves County, two locations: between the Hickman County Line and Wingo exit; and near mile marker 32, northeast of Mayfield.
Motorists are asked to use caution if they are out driving tonight. Slow down and stay alert for debris, downed power lines, and possible flooding. Remember, if a traffic signal is out due to a power outage, treat the intersection as a four-way stop.
