Cross drain replacement operations
LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 16, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that this news release serves as an update. An extended closure is necessary for a section of Talmage Mayo Road/KY 1160.
The temporary closure is necessary for cross drain installation operations to continue. Work was originally scheduled to be completed today, Friday, May 16.
Monday, May 19 through Friday, May 23 – 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. weekdays
Talmage Mayo Road/KY 1160
- a closure for cross drain replacement work will be in effect between milepoints 6.4 and 8.7
- emergency vehicles and local residents will need to utilize Vanarsdell Road/KY 1988 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays
- the route will be open prior to 8:30 a.m. and after 3 p.m. weekdays
Alternate Route
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
District 7 includes Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott, and Woodford Counties.
