Improvement project progressing in
Clark County
Colby Road/KY 1927 and Belmont Avenue
LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 15, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of an improvement project in Winchester, Clark County. The improvements include sidewalk ramp replacements, base failure (asphalt) repairs, milling for curb sections, and asphalt resurfacing. The work is being performed by the Allen Company Inc.
Friday, May 16 – 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
Monday, May 19 through Friday, Nov. 15 – 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays
Note: evening and overnight work could be scheduled if necessary between the hours of 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Colby Road/KY 1927 and Belmont Avenue (CR)
- the work is located between intersections with the Winchester Bypass/KY 1958 and Boone Avenue/KY 627 Eastbound
- milepoints for the project are between 6.824 and 8.022
- alternating lane closures will be in place with flaggers guiding and directing traffic
- emergency vehicles and motorists can pass through the work zone
- Colby Road/KY 1927 (SR) changes into Belmont Avenue (CR) toward the end of the route
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
District 7 includes Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties.
