Project to continue for Hamburg East Development on Winchester Road/US 60
Operations by ATS Construction LLC
LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 9, 2025) – The KY Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that this news release serves as an update. Grade and drain work will continue for a section of Winchester Road/US 60 in Lexington, Fayette County.
The operations are for the Hamburg East Development by ATS Construction LLC with permit. Grading means that the soil/ground of a job site needs to be level for creating a base or slope of the area. The grading process is necessary to provide appropriate conditions for drainage.
Monday, May 12 through Friday, August 29
- weekday and weekend work are both possible between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. (hours are approximate and may vary)
- operations will not be in effect every day of the week --- days will vary for the work
Winchester Road/US 60
The project location is between Polo Club Boulevard and the I-75/I-64 Ramps (milepoints 12.1 – 12.4):
- intermittent lane closures are necessary --- in addition, a lane closure is required for extended periods of time due to the reconstruction of Hume Bedford Road/KY 1939
- operations will continue through the summer months
- ATS Construction LLC will schedule the days and hours for work
- traffic control (cones, barrels, signage) cannot be removed (after placement) for each shift when operations are scheduled
- the traveling public is encouraged to utilize the GoKYand/or Waze applications for information
- utilizing alternate routes when construction is active can assist with avoiding significant delays
District 7 includes Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties.
