Closure scheduled for Winchester Road/KY 89 in Clark County
Repair operations for the Bridge over Red River
LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 2, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a scheduled closure for Winchester Road/KY 89. Temporary lane closures will be necessary for Bearing repair operations on the Bridge over Red River. Bearing repairs for bridges include welding and bridge bearing replacement and resetting. This is bridge 025B00021N. The anticipated completion date is Sunday, June 1.
Monday, May 5 through Monday, June 2 – 8 a.m. Monday, May 5, through Sunday, June 1, at 8 a.m.
Note: weekday (Mondays through Fridays) work is planned at this time
Winchester Road/KY 89 – the bridge over Red River
- lane closures will be in effect at milepoint 00.01 (the Clark-Estill County line)
- the lane closures will be set up three (3) to five (5) days on each side of the bridge
- temporary traffic signals will be utilized to allow motorists to pass through the work zone
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
