Resurfacing Project on Blue Lick Road (KY 1029)

and Piqua Kentontown Road (KY 617) in Robertson County to Begin Tuesday, May 6

Crews will work between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.

COVINGTON, Ky. (May 2, 2025) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of an upcoming resurfacing project in Robertson County beginning Tuesday, May 6.

Crews will be resurfacing sections of two state routes:

  • Blue Lick Road (KY 1029) from KY 165 (0.0 mile point) to the 1.0 mile point, a distance of 1.0 miles.
  • Piqua Kentontown Road (KY 617) from U.S. 62 (0.0 mile point) to Hoover Lane (CR 1101) (1.5 mile point), a distance of 1.5 miles.

Crews will perform this work between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. On Tuesday, May 6, crews will begin milling/paving operations on Blue Lick Road. This work is expected to take one day. Crews will then shift over to Piqua Kentontown Road.

Motorists should expect single lane closures throughout the project area. Flaggers will be used on both sides of the work zone to guide traffic safely through. Plan ahead, and anticipate delays during peak travel times.

The H G Mays Corporation is contracted to perform the $210,686 project on behalf of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. The project is expected to be completed by June 30, 2025.
