UPDATE: Work Zone Lane Restrictions Lifted Along Interstate 24 in Lyon, Caldwell and Trigg Counties 

PADUCAH, Ky. (Apr. 29, 2025) The installation of edge rumble strips along Interstate 24 in Lyon, Caldwell, and Trigg counties is now complete, and all work zone lane restrictions have been lifted.

PADUCAH, Ky. (Apr. 22, 2025) A daytime, work zone lane restriction along Interstate 24 in Lyon, Caldwell and Trigg counties will shift to the eastbound lanes starting on Wednesday, April 23.

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is working along I-24 from about the 51.9- to 64.5-mile markers. The project includes milling and installing edge rumble strips in about 4.5-mile sections each day, weather permitting.

Work along I-24 westbound in the same area is expected to be completed by the end of the day today.

Motorists should be alert for signage and trucks with arrow boards guiding traffic to shift into the open lane. Use appropriate caution.

The work zone has a reduced speed limit of 55 mph.
