Routine bridge inspection for the
Old Clays Ferry Bridge
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 16, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled routine bridge inspection work. Operations will be performed for the Old Clays Ferry Bridge/KY 2328 located at the Fayette-Madison County line.
Thursday, April 17 – 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
Note: this is Old Richmond Road in Fayette Co. & Lexington Road in Madison Co.
Old Richmond Road/KY 2328 – at the Fayette-Madison County line
- a routine bridge inspection will be performed for the Old Clays Ferry Bridge/KY 2328 located at the Fayette-Madison County line
- the route will be closed at milepoint 0.0 and 1.6 in both directions
Alternate Route:
- motorists can utilize north and southbound Interstate 75 (over the Clays Ferry Bridge)
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
District 7 includes Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties.
