Lane Restriction Planned on U.S. 45/Lone Oak Road in Front of Hardee's Starting Wednesday, April 16
PADUCAH, Ky. (Apr. 14, 2025) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans a work zone lane restriction along U.S. 45/Lone Oak Road near the intersection of KY 1286/S. Friendship Road in McCracken County starting on Wednesday, April 16.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane near mile point 6.7 directly in front of Hardee’s in Lone Oak. Crews will remove existing asphalt and replace it with new concrete pavement. Traffic will be shifted from one lane to the other from time to time to accommodate the work.
The lane restriction is expected to be in place approximately two weeks.
A separate nighttime work zone, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., starts tonight along U.S. 45/Lone Oak Road from the Hannan Plaza shopping center to the Hucks convenience store near the KY 1241 intersection in Lone Oak.
This, however, does not involve lane restrictions. Crews are working along the shoulder of the roadway, updating concrete curbs and ADA-compliant ramps. This phase of the project will last until approximately mid-May before milling and paving begins.
KYTC District 1 will continue to provide updates as both projects move forward.
