Daytime closures of KY 2022 in Perry County begin Monday, April 14

Closure had previously been erroneously reported as being on KY 2021

(Note: This closure had previously been erroneously reported as being on KY 2021 (Couchtown Road) in Perry County. That road will remain open. This release corrects the error).

JACKSON, Ky. Drivers who use KY 2022 (Squabble Creek Road) in Perry County should prepare to use an alternate route next week. Excavation and filling to repair a break in pavement is scheduled to begin Monday, April 14.

The road will be closed during daytime hours, typically 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., through Tuesday, April 15, at milepoint 4.2. This location is approximately 4 miles south of the KY 28 intersection at Buckhorn.

No signed detour will be posted. A lengthy detour using KY 484, KY 1482, KY 66, KY 11, and KY 28 through Oneida and Booneville; or KY 484, KY 1482, US 421, KY 118, the Hal Rogers Parkway, KY 15 and KY 28 through Hyden and Hazard, will be required.

Fewer than 60 vehicles use this section of KY 2022 each day.
