Daytime closures of KY 2022 in Perry County begin Monday, April 14

JACKSON, Ky. – Drivers who use KY 2022 (Squabble Creek Road) in Perry County should prepare to use an alternate route next week. Excavation and filling to repair a break in pavement is scheduled to begin Monday, April 14.
The road will be closed during daytime hours, typically 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., through Tuesday, April 15, at milepoint 4.2. This location is approximately 4 miles south of the KY 28 intersection at Buckhorn.
No signed detour will be posted. A lengthy detour using KY 484, KY 1482, KY 66, KY 11, and KY 28 through Oneida and Booneville; or KY 484, KY 1482, US 421, KY 118, the Hal Rogers Parkway, KY 15 and KY 28 through Hyden and Hazard, will be required.
Fewer than 60 vehicles use this section of KY 2022 each day.
