KYTC District 1 High Water Report for Apr. 8, 2025 at 10:30 a.m.

Road condition update

PADUCAH, Ky. (Apr. 8, 2025) High water is impacting roads in KYTC District 1, and counties including Crittenden and McCracken are experiencing new areas of flooding as the river rises. 

Never attempt to drive through standing or flowing water. The conditions under the water, even in shallow areas, are unknown and may be hazardous.

Just a reminder: As the water goes down, motorists are asked not to move or drive around barricades or signs.

Although the water may have receded from a road, "Road Closed" signs may still be in place. Please be patient and allow highway maintenance crews to assess the road conditions before driving on a closed and previously flooded road. They will remove the signs and barricades once the road has been inspected and cleared of any debris.

List of roads in District 1 impacted by high water:
Please note this list only includes state routes. MP stands for Mile Point(s). Flooded roads added throughout the day will be listed as NEW. Roads in which water has receded are listed below as 𝗖𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥 and will then be removed from the list during the next update.

Interstate 69 (District 2)

Interstate 69 has reopened in both north and southbound directions at the 90-mile marker in Hopkins County (District 2), just west of Dawson Springs. The Interstate 24 Exit 42 northbound ramp to I-69 and the northbound ramp for I-69 Exit 71 at U.S. 62 are open. - CLEAR

Ballard County

There are no state roads reported closed due to high water.

Calloway County

There are no state roads reported closed due to high water.

Carlisle County

KY 1820 is CLOSED with high water between the 1-2 MP (Wilson Creek). This starts near the intersection of KY 1628. 

KY 1820 is CLOSED with high water at the 5 MP, between U.S. 62 and Lynn Road.

Crittenden County

KY 1917 is CLOSED with high water at the 1.5 MP (Wolf Creek). This is between Wolf Creek Road and Roberts Road.

KY 1917 is CLOSED with high water at the 3.35 MP, south of the intersection with KY 120. 

KY 132 is CLOSED with high water at the 1.973 MP.

KY 120 is CLOSED with high water at the 16 MP off Tradewater River. 

KY 91 is CLOSED with high water at about the 15 MP leading up to the Cave-In-Rock ferry. The ferry is closed. 

KY 120 is CLOSED with high water at the 14.3 MP, just past Enon Church Road. 

KY 135 is CLOSED with high water at the 4.15 MP (Sawmill Holler). 

Fulton County

KY 94 (Lower Bottoms) is open with high water between 9.1 MP (Parker Lane) to 10.9 MP (1099 Bypass). Water has receded, and one lane is passable; use caution. 

KY 1354, the road to the Dorena-Hickman Ferry, is CLOSED with high water. The ferry is closed.

Graves County

KY 1374/Trace Creek Road is CLOSED at about the 1.1 MP due cross-drain damage caused by flash flooding. This is between KY 427 and Spence Chapel Road. Anticipating repairs today, April 8; Updates to come. 

KY 483 is CLOSED at about the 0.6 MP due cross-drain damage caused by flash flooding. This is between KY 131 and KY 427. The road will be closed until repairs can be made.

KY 2422 is CLOSED at the 5.3 MP between KY 129 and Wingo Road due to damage to the bridge approach caused by flash flooding.

KY 348 is CLOSED with high water between the 0 MP/McCracken-Graves County Line to the 1.2 MP/KY 450. 

Hickman County

KY 123 is CLOSED with high water between the 14-16 MP in the Hailwell Corner area. 

KY 944 is CLOSED from the 0-1 MP due to a slide on the shoulder caused by flash flooding. This is west of Fulgham off KY 58 E. 

KY 703 is CLOSED between the 3.993-5.669 MP where pavement has washed out due to flash flooding. This is between KY 1362 and KY 288, northeast of Clinton. 

KY 3061 is closed between the 5.992-6.910 MP where pavement has washed out due to flash flooding. This is at the intersection with KY 307. 

Livingston County

KY 917/Tucker Temple Road is CLOSED with high water between the 6.9-8.3 MP. - NEW/UPDATED

KY 70/Tiline Road is open between the 6.9-11.3 MP. - CLEAR

KY 137/River Road is CLOSED with high water between the 5.4-15.2 MP. This is between McMurray Road and KY 133/Lola Road. 

Lyon County

The Interstate 24 Exit 42 northbound ramp to Interstate 69 and the northbound ramp for Interstate 69 Exit 71 at U.S. 62 are open. I-69 has reopened in both north and southbound directions at around the 90-mile marker in Hopkins County (District 2), just west of Dawson Springs.  - CLEAR

KY 295 S is CLOSED with high water near the 3.6 MP near the entrance of U.S. 62.

KY 819 is CLOSED with high water at the 2.3 MP (Panther Creek).

KY 1055 is CLOSED from approx. the 2-2.5 MP between Eddyville Springs Road and Perry Springs Road due to a slide caused by flash flooding. 

Marshall County

KY 1462/Benton-Birmingham Road is CLOSED with high water between 0-1.3 MP. This is between KY 408/E. 12th Street and KY 1477/Benton Briensburg Road. 

KY 1949/Wadesboro Road is CLOSED with high water at the 7.4 MP at the I-69 Tunnel.

KY 1311/Slickback Road is open between the 3-5 MP. - CLEAR

KY 1949 is CLOSED at about the 2.3 MP where pavement has washed out due to flash flooding. This is near Zion Baptist Church and between KY 2606 and KY 1311.

KY 2595/Lakeview Church Road is CLOSED with high water from the 2.5 MM/Ruggie Cemetery Road to the 3.8 MM/Red River Road, near Kentucky Dam Village.

McCracken County

KY 1255/Bonds Road is CLOSED with high water between the 0.0 MP at KY 348/Hardmoney Road and the 2.3 MP at KY 450/Oaks. 

KY 348/Hardmoney Road remains CLOSED with high water from the 6.2 MP/KY1684 to the 7.2 MP/McCracken-Graves County Line. 

KY 131/Said Road is CLOSED with high water from the 0 MP/McCracken-Graves County Line to the 2.5 MP/Powers Road. 

KY 787/Bryant Ford Road is CLOSED with high water from the 0 MP/McCracken-Marshall County Line to the 1.7 MP/Powers Road.

KY 450/Oaks Road is CLOSED with high water from the 0-3 MP. This is from the McCracken-Graves County Line to Shemwell Lane. 

KY 3075/Lydon Road is CLOSED with high water from the 0-2 MP, from KY 1954/Husbands Road to KY 450/Oaks Road.

KY 1954/Husbands Road is CLOSED with high water from the 0-3 MP, from KY 358/Hardmoney Road to Clarkline Road. This also blocks the KY 999/KY 1954 intersection. 

KY 999/Krebs Station Road is CLOSED with high water from the 3.8-4.2 MP from the railroad tracks to KY 1954.

KY 1420/Noble Road is CLOSED with high water at the 3.9 MP between Meredith Road and KY 2411/Cold Springs Road. - NEW

Trigg County

KY 1507/Barefield Road is CLOSED with high water at the 1 MP. This is between KY 958/Montgomery Church Road and KY 128/Wallonia Road. 

KY 958/Barefield Road is CLOSED with high water from the 0-1 MP. 

KY 126/Buffalo Cerulean Road is CLOSED with high water from the 0-1 MP (Horse Creek). 

KY 124/Cerulean Road is CLOSED with high water from the 10-11 MP (Muddy Fork Little River) near the county line. 

KY 139/South Road is CLOSED with high water at the 13 MP, just south of KY 545/New Hope Road. 

KY 1253 is CLOSED between the 3-5 MP where pavement has washed out due to flash flooding.
