KY 177 Truss Bridge Over Licking River in Pendleton County to Reopen

Motorists will need proof of residency in City of Butler to access

COVINGTON, Ky. (April 7, 2025) – One day after its temporary closure, the KY 177 Truss Bridge over the Licking River in Pendleton County is expected to reopen.

Crews are expected to reopen the KY 177 bridge and road from River Road (4.81 mile point) to Mill Street (5.01 mile point) in the City of Butler on Monday, April 7 at 4 p.m. 

NOTE: Motorists wanting access in to the City of Butler will need to show proof of residency within the city limits of Butler to gain access into the city.

Accessing the KY 177 bridge: motorists will use U.S. 27 to KY 3149, and then turn right on to KY 177. 

Any additional questions should be directed to the Pendleton County Emergency Management Agency.

Motorists can stay informed about high water and weather-related closures through our High Water Report. The report is updated regularly with the latest information from our field crews and will continue to be maintained until all affected routes are safely reopened to traffic.
