ALERT: I-69 Southbound Restricted to One Lane in Hopkins County Due to High Water

Transportation officials monitoring situation closely

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (April 05, 2025) As flood waters continue to rise, in order to assure the safety of motorists it has become necessary for KYTC to close the right lane of Interstate 69 northbound at the 90 mile marker in Hopkins County, just west of Dawson Springs.

Transportation officials, assisted by the Kentucky State Police, will continue to monitor the situation as rain continues to fall over the region. As water encroaches on the roadway on both sides of the interstate, motorists are asked to proceed with caution.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will continue to update road conditions as they change.
