ALERT: Motorists Asked to Use Caution on I-24 Near Tennessee Line

Wet conditions creating potential dangerous driving hazards

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (April 05, 2025) Kentucky Transportation Cabinet personnel and the Kentucky State Police are assisting the Tennessee Department of Transportation in addressing current road conditions along Interstate 24 just south of the state line.

The interstate remains open, although some water is reported to be on the roadway the Tennessee side of the line. TDOT has asked for help advising motorists to slow down to be prepared as they leave Kentucky. Caution signs and an expanded police presence should be expected along I-24 near the state line.
