Kentucky Transportation District 3 Water Over the Road Report 8 a.m.

More severe weather possible today

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (April 3, 2025) – Following a night of severe weather, multiple roads in multiple counties across the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 3 area are closed due to flooding. More severe weather and rain are expected over the next several days, so more roads are expected to close.

The U.S. National Weather Service Louisville is predicting up to eight inches of rain through the weekend. Possible severe storms throughout the day and night on Thursday and Friday are also possible. District 3 crews from each county have been monitoring road conditions and closing roads as needed.

Motorists should expect water over the roadway in some areas. Motorists are reminded flooded roads can be hard to see, especially at night so caution is recommended if driving. Crews are setting up barricades as fast as they can when notified of a flooded road. Please do not move or drive around barricades.
