I-Move Traffic Advisory: Lane and Ramp Closures on I-64, I-71 and I-265 Beginning Tonight, March 24, in Jefferson County

Contract crews to install guardrails and overhead signs

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 24, 2025) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of lane and ramp closures as part of the I-Move KY project, beginning tonight, March 24, in Jefferson County. The nightly lane and ramp closures are necessary for contract crews to install guardrails and overhead signs. Details regarding traffic impacts are below.

From 8 p.m. Monday, March 24, to 6 a.m. Tuesday, March 25:

  • I-265 North at mile marker 32 (near KY 1447/Westport Road) will be reduced to one lane.
  • The off-ramp from I-265 North (Gene Snyder Freeway) to KY 1447/Westport Road at Exit 32 will be closed.

From 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, to 6 a.m. Wednesday, March 26:

  • The ramp from I-71 South to I-265 North (Gene Snyder Freeway) will be closed.

From 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, to 6 a.m. Thursday, March 27:

  • I-64 East at mile marker 17 (near KY 913/Blankenbaker Parkway) will be reduced to one lane.

Drivers should plan for increased travel times, heed signage, and use caution when traveling through the work zones.
