UPDATE:  Interstate 24 Ohio River Bridge Eastbound Lane Reopened

Site is cleared - Work Zone is open

PADUCAH, Ky. (Mar. 21, 2025)  Eastbound traffic on the Interstate 24 Ohio River Bridge from Metropolis into Paducah has reopened.  Paducah 911 Dispatch reports a multi-vehicle crash on the eastbound lane in the work zone is cleared.

Due to the extensive traffic backup, it may take a coupe of hours for traffic to clear.

Westbound traffic has also been backed up on I-24 near the crash site.

As a reminder, passenger vehicles may self-detour via the U.S. 45 Ohio River "Brookport" Bridge. Due to a 15-ton weight restriction, a 9 ft-6 in. height restriction and an 8 ft. width restriction, no semi-trucks, commercial vehicles, or RVs are allowed to cross the Brookport Bridge.

Police and KYTC personnel are monitoring the Brookport Bridge to prohibit SEMIs and other large vehciles from crossing.
