Resurfacing Project Underway on U.S. 25 in Boone County
Occasional flagging operations for sidewalk work ahead of resurfacing
COVINGTON, Ky. (March 21, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a resurfacing project that is underway on a portion of U.S. 25 in Boone County.
Sidewalk work began today, with crews working along U.S. 25 in Walton from Nicholson Avenue (mile point 0.44) to Chambers Road (KY 2951) (mile point 2.58), covering a stretch of 2.14 miles. Occasional flagging operations will be in place at various intersections within the project limits to facilitate this work.
Milling/paving operations will follow at a later date. Once that work is scheduled, we will provide an update via KYTC District 6's social media accounts and the District 6 Roadshow.
Riegler Blacktop Inc. has been awarded the $414,909 contract for the project, which is managed by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. The project is expected to be completed by June 30, 2025.
The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists can get Northern Kentucky road construction updates on the District 6 Roadshow.
