COVINGTON, Ky. (March 21, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of resurfacing projects on various routes in Kenton County beginning Tuesday, March 25.

Crews will be resurfacing the following routes:

  • Howard Litzler Drive (KY 3070) beginning at KY 17 (mile point 0.0) extending east to KY 16 (mile point 0.871), a distance of 0.871 miles.
  • Kyles Lane (KY 3187) beginning at KY 17 (mile point 0.0) extending to Highland Pike (KY 1072) (mile point 0.95), a distance of 0.95 miles.
  • Highland Pike beginning at KY 17 (mile point 0.73) extending north to Werner Drive (mile point 1.83), a distance of 1.1 miles.

Crews will begin by addressing base failures on Howard Litzler Drive on Tuesday, March 25 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Motorists should expect single lane closures throughout the project area. Flaggers will be in place on both sides of the work zone to guide motorists safely through the area. Once base failures are completed on Howard Litzler Drive, crews will shift to Kyles Lane.

After base failures have been completed, crews will return to the project areas for milling/paving operations. This portion of the project has not yet been scheduled. KYTC District 6 will update the Roadshow and social media once these operations have been scheduled.

Riegler Blacktop Inc. is contracted to perform the $782,634.60 project on behalf of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. The project is expected to be completed by June 30, 2025.

The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists can get Northern Kentucky road construction updates on the District 6 Roadshow. Follow KYTC District 6 on Facebook or Twitter.
