Public Meeting Scheduled for Thursday, Apr. 17 for Rebuild Mayfield Project in Graves County
PADUCAH, Ky. (Mar. 24, 2025) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has scheduled a public meeting in Graves County on Thursday, Apr. 17, to update the public on the planned improvements for the Rebuild Mayfield Project.
The City of Mayfield has been awarded a $25 million RAISE grant, which will be paired with state funds, to revitalize its downtown streetscape, including upgrades to roadway and utility infrastructure, as well as enhancements to safety and connectivity for pedestrians and cyclists.
The public meeting will be held Apr. 17 from 5 to 7 p.m., CDT, at Graves County High School, 1220 Eagles Way, Mayfield, KY 42066. It will be conducted in an open house format, where attendees can view exhibits, talk to KYTC staff and project team members and ask questions about the project. There will be no formal presentation.
Comment sheets will be available for those who want to provide feedback on the project.
Comments also may be submitted by mail before May 19, 2025, to Patsy Rawlins, P.E., District 1 Project Manager, KYTC District 1 Office, 5501 Kentucky Dam Rd., Paducah, Kentucky 42003. Comments can be submitted by email to info@rebuildmayfield.com.
Following the public meeting, displays will be available for review at the KYTC District 1 Office in Paducah, where comments may also be submitted until May 19. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., CDT.
All written comments will become part of the official meeting record. Once compiled, the meeting record and supporting documentation will be made available for review and copying only after an Open Records Request has been received and approved. All Open Records Requests must be submitted to the Transportation Cabinet, Office of Legal Services, Transportation Office Building (200 Metro St, Frankfort, KY 40622), or via kytc.openrecords@ky.gov.
