I-Move Traffic Advisory: Lane and Ramp Closures on I-64 and I-265 Beginning Today, March 18, in Jefferson County

Contract crews to perform shoulder and guardrail work

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 18, 2025) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of lane and ramp closures as part of the I-Move KY project, beginning today, March 18, in Jefferson County. The daily and nightly lane and ramp closures are necessary for contract crews to perform shoulder and guardrail work. Details regarding traffic impacts are below.

Tuesday, March 18

  • The right lane of I-64 East and West at mile marker 17 (near KY 913/Blankenbaker Parkway) is closed through 3 p.m. today, March 18.
  • I-64 West will be reduced to one lane at mile marker 17 (near KY 913/Blankenbaker Parkway) from 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, to 6 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19.
  • I-265 South (Gene Snyder Freeway) at mile marker 32 (near KY 1447/Westport Road) will be reduced to one lane from 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, to 6 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19.

Wednesday, March 19

  • I-265 North (Gene Snyder Freeway) will be reduced to one lane at mile marker 32 (near KY 1447/Westport Road) from 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, to 6 a.m. on Thursday, March 20.
  • The off-ramp from I-265 North (Gene Snyder Freeway) to KY 1447/Westport Road at Exit 32 will be closed from 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, to 6 a.m. on Thursday, March 20.

Drivers should plan ahead for increased travel times, heed signage, and use caution when traveling through the work zones.
