Lane Closures Begin Monday on US 60 in Boyd County

Expect delays for ramp work getting on I-64, near Cannonsburg

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (March 21, 2025) Work on the US 60 widening project in Boyd County will require temporary lane closures beginning Monday, March 24, near the I-64 Coalton interchange. Also, the first westbound I-64 on-ramp entrance from west US 60 will be closed beginning on Monday. Traffic will be detoured to the nearby second entrance to the westbound on-ramp. Access to I-64 will remain open throughout the duration of this project. Motorists should follow detour signs.

All traffic on US 60 has been reduced to 45 mph though this work zone. Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Please heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.

The work is part of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s ongoing $46 million highway widening project between the I-64 interchange at Coalton and the KY 180 intersection at Cannonsburg.
