Traffic Advisory: Daytime Closure on KY 8 in Mason County
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (March 7,2025) – Motorists should expect daytime closures on KY 8, about a quarter of a mile east of KY 576 at mile point 3.7, in Mason County next week on March 12 and March 13.
Beginning Wednesday, March 12th and Thursday, March 13th, the road will be closed 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day where crews are working to replace cross drains and repair a small slide between KY 576 on the east side and KY 1597 on the west side. Only local traffic will be permitted past these points. Message boards will be set up to notify the public each day of the specific location closure for that day. No detour will be posted, but traffic can utilize KY 576, KY 3056, and KY 1597 to navigate around the closure.
Motorists are urged to drive carefully during the road improvement project by slowing down, reducing distractions, and heeding all flaggers and warning signs. Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions.
