Clay Street Bridge Project Scheduled to Begin This Week
Estimated completion by first of August
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (March 3, 2025) – Later this week, a contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to begins the process of replacing the Clay Street Bridge on KY 812 over North Fork Canoe Creek in Henderson.
The bridge, located at the 7.62 mile point of KY 812, was closed for just over two months last summer after a schedule inspection in May found significant deterioration of the metal support structure. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet was able to repair the bridge so that it could be safely reopened in July of 2024.
That bridge is now scheduled to be replaced. The contractor plans to begin preparation work to demolition of the Clay Street Bridge on Friday, March 7. The new bridge is scheduled to be opened by August 1, 2025.
