Lane Blockage on U.S. 68 in Hopkinsville Planned Next Week
Restrictions planned for Mon, Wed, Thu and Friday
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (Feb. 26, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to begin concrete pavement repair operations on McLean Avenue (U.S. 68/ KY 80) in Hopkinsville next week which will result in a multi-day eastbound lane closures.
Crews will be blocking the eastbound lanes of U.S. 68/ KY 80 starting at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 3. Originally KYTC planned to keep the lanes blocked until Wednesday, March 5 to complete the project, but due to projected rainfalls on Tuesday, crews now plan to reopen the roadway Monday night and leaving it open until 8 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6.
The blockage will resume on Wednesday and last until Friday, March 7 at 3 p.m. This blockage will include southbound Exit 9 from I-165 and the southbound on-ramp from U.S. 68 west to I-165.
Traffic will be diverted to Eagle Way Bypass then back to U.S. 68.
