District 3 Road Condition Report 6 p.m.

The District 3 area serves Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe, Simpson, Todd, and Warren Counties

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (Feb. 19, 2025) – Road conditions across the District 3 area greatly improved as the day went on Wednesday. State highway crews began treating routes Tuesday evening and continued throughout the day Wednesday following a winter storm system that dropped multiple inches of snow. Priority A routes like interstates, expressways and U.S. routes are mainly wet pavement. Some priority B routes are wet pavement and but all should be passable. Some counties were able to treat priority C routes today.

Crews will pause snow removal operations Wednesday night due to the cold temperatures. The temperatures will be well below 20 degrees and the salt treatment will not work at those temperatures. Crews will resume snow removal operations Thursday morning.

Motorists are advised that slick travel will exist overnight. Any wet pavement will refreeze overnight creating icy spots in addition to the roads that still have snow on them.

Please do not call 911 or law enforcement offices to find out information about road conditions.
