District 3 Crews Continue to Work as Road Conditions Remain Very Hazardous as of 3 a.m.

The District 3 area serves Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe, Simpson, Todd, and Warren Counties

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (Feb. 19, 2025) – Road conditions across the District 3 area remain hazardous as most roads remain completely covered in snow. Interstate 65 has multiple lanes that are partial covered. A winter weather system has already dumped multiple inches of snow across the District 3 area with more on the way.

Any motorists who have to be out today are urged to use caution, give lots of extra travel time, plan to use the best main routes possible, and expect slick travel conditions. Road conditions are not expected to improve before the morning commute time and remain hazardous well into Wednesday. Many crashes and vehicle slide offs from around the District have been reported since the winter weather system moved into the area.

All 10 counties in District 3 remain under a Winter Storm Warning from the U.S. National Weather Service until 11 a.m. State highway crews remained focused on priority A routes. It may be awhile until crews can get to priority B and C routes.

Please do not call 911 or law enforcement offices to find out information about road conditions.
