LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Jan. 24, 2025) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of daily and nightly lane closures on a section of Interstate 64 East beginning Monday, Jan. 27, in Jefferson County.

The right lane of I-64 East between KY 913 (Blankenbaker Parkway) at mile point 16.7 and the I-64/I-265 interchange at mile point 18.9 will be closed daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning Monday, Jan. 27, through Thursday, Jan. 30.

Additionally, I-64 East between KY 913 (Blankenbaker Parkway) at mile point 16.7 and the I-64/I-265 interchange at mile point 18.9 will be reduced to one lane overnight from 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29, to 6 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30, and again from 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30, to 6 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 31. Rolling roadblocks are possible during the nightly closures. Motorists should maintain safe following distances, adhere to rolling roadblock restrictions, and use caution while traveling through the work zone.

The daily and nightly lane closures are necessary for contract crews to assemble and install sign trusses as part of the I-Move Kentucky project. Drivers should heed signage and use caution when traveling through the work zone.

The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
