UPDATE: Daytime Closure at KY 408 RR Overpass in Graves County Extended Through Wednesday
Canadian National to repair railroad overpass near 2 MM
PADUCAH, Ky. (Dec. 17, 2024) – A Canadian National Railway crew will continue a daytime closure of the KY 408 Railroad Overpass near the 2 mile marker in northwestern Graves County that started on Monday.
Additional work is required, and the closure will extend through Wednesday, Dec. 18. The closure will begin promptly at 6 a.m., with plans for the roadway to reopen around 2 p.m.
The overpass is along KY 408 immediately east of the KY 339 intersection.
A crew has been working to replace a beam on the railroad overpass.
There will be no marked detour. Motorists may self-detour via KY 440 and KY 339 through Lowes.
As a reminder, the Canadian National Railroad Overpass at this location has an 11 ft-7 inch clearance. It is marked with appropriate roadway signage.
