Slide Repair Project on Pooles Creek Road (KY 1998) in Campbell County Beginning Monday, Dec. 9
Portion of Pooles Creek Road will be reduced to single lane
COVINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 6, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a slide repair project on Pooles Creek Road (KY 1998) in Campbell County beginning Monday, Dec. 9.
Crews will work to stabilize the hillside in several locations on Pooles Creek Road north of Darlas Drive between mile points 0.9 and 1.1, a distance of 0.2 miles.
This work will require a single lane closure for the duration of the project. Motorists should expect 24/7 temporary traffic signals on each side of the work zone. Please, drive carefully to keep our crews safe near the project area.
Weather permitting, this work is expected to be completed Monday, Jan. 6.
This slide repair work is being performed ahead of an upcoming resurfacing project on Pooles Creek Road. That resurfacing project is under contract, and was awarded in July 2024. The resurfacing project is expected to begin Spring 2025, and is expected to be completed June 30, 2025. KYTC District 6 will provide updates ahead of the resurfacing project beginning.
