UPDATE: Railroad Crossings Blocked in Hopkinsville

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (Nov. 15, 2024)– Crash is cleared.

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (Nov. 15, 2024) – Christian County Emergency Management has reported that railroad crossings throughout the city of Hopkinsville are blocked due to a crash involving a train. Duration of this blockage is unknown but expected to be for an extended period of time, according to the EMA.

The railroad crosses through the center of the city of Hopkinsville, with crossings of multiple state highways including U.S. 41, U.S. 41A and U.S. 68, along with various city and county roads.

Currently the railroad crossing on KY 380 (Skyline Drive) is open. Motorists can also utilize the overpass on KY 1682 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way) to cross the railroad.
