Bridge Replacement Project on KY 1254 is Expected to Start Tuesday, November 12 in Harlan County
MANCHESTER, Ky. (November 8, 2024) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 11 Office advises motorists that a bridge replacement project in Harlan County is expected to start Tuesday, November 12.
This Harlan County bridge project will occur on KY 1254 (mile point 0.02) in Cumberland. The roadway will be closed at the junction of KY 160 beginning Tuesday, November 12.
A 2.7-mile detour will be utilized during the road closure. Motorists coming from the north, the detour will be KY 1254 (Kingdom Come Drive) to U.S. 119 and KY 160. Motorists coming from the south, the detour will be KY 160 and U.S. 119 to KY 1254 (Kingdom Come Drive).
The roadway is expected to re-open on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone, expect delays, and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
