Concrete Repair Project Planned on I-24 in Christian County

Lane restrictions expected to last around two weeks

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (Nov. 6, 2024) – Motorists should anticipate westbound lane restrictions on Interstate 24 in Christian County beginning Monday, Nov. 11, 2024 and continuing for about two weeks as a contractor working for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet begins a concrete rehab project.

Beginning at mile marker 91, a mile west of the Kentucky Welcome Center in Oak Grove, I-24 will be reduced to one lane while crews make repairs to the concrete surface.

This will be a mobile project, with the work zone and lane restrictions moving westward along the interstate as work progresses. The finishing point for the project will be the 83 mile marker, three miles west of Exit 86 (U.S. 41).

The entire project is scheduled to last two weeks, weather permitting.
