Resurfacing Project on Tollgate Road (KY 2924) in Campbell County
Base failure repairs complete, milling to begin by end of this week
COVINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 22, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 6 Office announces a resurfacing project on Tollgate Road (KY 2924) in Campbell County is currently in progress.
Crews will resurface Tollgate Road beginning at Alexandria Pike (U.S. 27) (0.0 mile point) extending east to Licking Pike (KY 915) (2.75 mile point), a distance of 2.75 miles.
Base failure repairs were completed last Friday, Oct. 18. Contractors will return to the project limits on Thursday, Oct. 24, to mill the existing road surface with paving operations to follow.
The contractor will be on-site between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Motorists should expect single lane closures during these daytime working hours. Flaggers will be in place to guide traffic safely though the work zone.
Please drive carefully through the project area. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route to avoid potential delays. KYTC will advise if the schedule is adjusted via our District 6 roadshow.
Mago Construction Company LLC, is contracted to perform the $234,228.51 project on behalf of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. The project is expected to be completed later this year.
